IFC picks up ‘Cherry’ – Variety

Cherry, the movie for which I was on-set Media Manager, and Assistant Editor, has been picked up for distribution: 'IFC Films has acquired North American rights to Stephen Elliott's directorial debut, "Cherry."
Ashley Hinshaw, Dev Patel, Heather Graham and James Franco star in the pic set in the world of the San Francisco porn business, which is produced by Jordan Kessler and Elizabeth Destro, in association with Enderby Entertainment, Elana Krausz, Gordon Bijelonic/Datari Turner Films and Kink.com. Helmer and co-scribe Elliot, author of "The Adderall Diaries," is a former sex worker, as is co-writer and author Lorelei Lee.
"Cherry" premiered earlier this year at the Berlin Film Festival. It will have its North American premiere on April 24 at the San Francisco Film Festival.'

Review of Mother Country
J.B. Spins: ADIFF ’11: Mother Country:
"Breaux really is on to something with Country, presenting Porter’s first meaningful adult encounters with those outside his race and class, in a sharply-observed, even-keeled manner. In fact, she is clearly tougher on Porter than any of her other supporting players. This is not mumblecore thank the merciful lord. Country is headed in a very definite direction that is rather interesting, more often than not."
